Promenade guidée à Petit-Wasmes, où Vincent Van Gogh a travaillé en tant qu'évangéliste parmi les mineurs du Borinage en 1879. Découverte des lieux de vie et de travail de l'artiste. Les commentaires seront illustrés par les lettres que Vincent a écrites à son frère Theo. Équipement : bonnes chaussures de marche. Réservation obligatoire.

Promenade guidée

Promenade guidée en boucle à travers les sentiers et ruelles de Petit-Wasmes, en passant par les lieux de vie et de travail de Vincent Van Gogh, lorsqu'il travaillait en tant qu'évangéliste au sein de la communauté protestante de l'entité entre janvier et juillet 1879.

Les commentaires du guide seront illustrées par les magnifiques lettres que Vincent a adressées à son frère Theo. Ces lettres vous plongeront littéralement dans les conditions de vie et de travail des mineurs et leurs familles à la fin du 19ème siècle. D'autres thèmes abordés seront l'origine de l'exploitation du charbon dans le Borinage, l'archéologie industrielle et le folklore local

Visites

Lors de la promenade, des haltes sont prévues à la Maison Van Gogh dans laquelle Vincent a été accueilli par la famille de Jean-Baptiste Denis (cultivateur), le "Salon du Bébé" où il organisait des lectures de la Bible, le buste Van Gogh sculpté par Ossip Zadkine, une peinture murale de Van Gogh créée par l'artiste londonien Morgan Ico, et l'impressionnant charbonnage de Marcasse où Vincent est descendu à 700 mètres au fond de la mine.

Dégustations

Pour combiner l'effort et le réconfort, vous aurez l'occasion de déguster quelques délices locaux, comme le fameux "pagnon borain" avec une bonne jatte de café et les bières locales "La Marcasse" (blonde et brune) ou "Nuit Etoilée" (ambrée). Tout cela évidemment avec beaucoup de sagesse et de modération !

Description

Guided walk in Petit-Wasmes, where Vincent Van Gogh worked as an evangelist among the miners of the Borinage in 1879. Discover places where Vincent used to live and work. The comments will be illustrated by the letters Vincent wrote to his brother Theo.

Guided walk

Guided loop walk through the paths and alleys of Petit-Wasmes, along the places of life and work of Vincent Van Gogh, when he worked as an evangelist in the Protestant community of the entity between January and July 1879.

The guide's comments will be illustrated by the wonderful letters Vincent sent to his brother Theo. These letters will literally immerse you in the living and working conditions of the miners and their families at the end of the 19th century. Other topics will be the origin of coal mining in the Borinage, industrial archeology and local folklore

Visits

During the walk, stops are planned at the Van Gogh House in which Vincent was welcomed by the family of Jean-Baptiste Denis (farmer), the "Salon du Bébé" where he organized Bible readings, the Van Gogh buste by Ossip Zadkine, a mural painting by London artist Morgan Ico, and the impressive Marcasse colliery where Vincent descended to 700 meters deep in the mine.

Tasting

To combine the effort and the comfort, you will have the opportunity to taste some local delights, like the famous "pagnon borain" with a good cup of coffee and the local beers "La Marcasse" (blond and brown) or "Nuit Etoilée" "(amber). All this obviously with a lot of wisdom and moderation!

Geleide wandelingen in Petit-Wasmes, waar Vincent van Gogh in 1879 als evangelist werkte onder de mijnwerkers van de Borinage. Ontdek de plaatsen waar de kunstenaar leefde en werkte. De commentaren zullen worden geïllustreerd door de brieven die Vincent aan zijn broer Theo schreef. Uitrusting: goede wandelschoenen. Reserveren verplicht.

Begeleide wandelingen

Begeleide wandelingen in een lus door de paden en steegjes van Petit-Wasmes, langs de plaatsen waar Vincent van Gogh tussen Januari en juli 1879 leefde en werkte toen hij als evangelist diende in de lokale protestantse gemeenschap.

De uitleg van de gids zal worden geïllustreerd door de prachtige brieven die Vincent aan zijn broer Theo stuurde. Deze brieven zullen je letterlijk onderdompelen in de leef- en werkomstandigheden van de mijnwerkers en hun families aan het einde van de 19e eeuw. Andere onderwerpen die worden aangesneden, zijn de oorsprong van mijnbouw in de Borinage, industriële archeologie en lokale folklore

Tijdens de wandeling zijn er halten gepland in het Van Gogh Huis, waarin Vincent werd verwelkomd door de familie van Jean-Baptiste Denis (boer), het 'Salon du Bébé', waar hij lezingen van de Bijbel organiseerde, het Van Gogh borstbeeld van Ossip Zadkine, Een Van Gogh muurschilderij van de Londense kunstenaar Morgan Ico, en de indrukwekkende steenkoolmijn van Marcasse waar Vincent afdaalde tot 700 meter diep in de mijn.

Om inspanning en ontspanning te combineren, krijgt u de gelegenheid om wat lokale lekkernijen te proeven, zoals de beroemde "pagnon borain" met een goede kop koffie en de lokale bieren "La Marcasse" (blond en bruin) of "Nuit Etoilée" "(amber). Dit alles uiteraard met veel wijsheid en matiging !
