Van Gogh Europe 2015

Op 29 juli 2015 is het exact 125 jaar geleden dat Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) stierf. Met als thema '125 jaar inspiratie' grijpen Nederlandse, Belgische en Franse partners deze kans aan om de beroemde Nederlandse kunstenaar gedurende een heel jaar te eren. Uitgangspunt hierbij is dat de kunstenaar tot op de dag van vandaag velen inspireert en 125 jaar na zijn dood meer dan ooit 'leeft'. Gedurende heel 2015 vinden activiteiten plaats in o.a. het Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, het Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, Het Noordbrabants Museum in 's-Hertogenbosch en in het BAM (Museum voor Schone Kunsten) in Mons, tevens Culturele Hoofstad van Europa in 2015.

On 29 July 2015 it will be exactly 125 years since Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) died. A group of Dutch, Belgian and French partners is seizing this opportunity to honour the Dutch artist under the theme '125 years of inspiration'. The stimulus for this is that the artist inspires many people to this very day and that he is still very much 'alive', even 125 years after his death. Activities will be organised throughout the year in various places: the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, the North Brabant Museum (Het Noordbrabants Museum) in 's-Hertogenbosch and the BAM (Museum of Fine Arts) in Mons, Cultural Capital of Europe in 2015.
